A man accused of attempting to storm the White House Correspondents’ dinner and kill President Donald Trump is now facing additional charges.
Prosecutors say Cole Tomas Allen allegedly fired a shotgun at a Secret Service officer during the incident. A federal grand jury in Washington has added a count of assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon.
Allen was already facing charges of attempted assassination and multiple firearms offenses.
