New York Court Dismisses Trump’s Gag Order Appeal 'Violation Of 1st Amendment'

5 days ago A gag order against President Donald Trump, in his so called ‘hush money’ case, will stay in place after The New York State Court of Appeals dismissed Trump’s appeal.
The gag order bans Trump from talking about prosecutors or their families but does allow the former president to talk about Judge Juan Merchan and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
The court ruled that "no substantial constitutional question is directly involved," and declined hear Trump's appeal.
Trump’s team is arguing that the gag order violates his constitutional free speech rights under the First Amendment.
The original gag order banned Trump from talking about witnesses in the case, such as Stormy Daniels and his former attorney Michael Cohen.
