Former President Barack Obama met privately with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani before joining him to read to preschoolers at a child care center in the Bronx.
The appearance comes just over a week after Mamdani marked his 100th day in office. The mayor is also working to build a relationship with President Donald Trump.
The two read a children’s book to the children and led a sing-along, but did not take questions from reporters.
