Ohio Governor Orders State Employees Back To In-Office Work 5 Days A Week

1 week ago Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has ordered state employees back to full-time in-office work. In an executive order Tuesday, DeWine required all permanent employees of state agencies, boards and commissions to resume five-day work weeks by March 17. He said this will allow the state to best serve the public and to maximize use of its remaining office space. DeWine said both are in the best interests of Ohio citizens. The return date set by DeWine falls five years after the COVID-19 pandemic set states and private employers scrambling to reimagine work in ways that continue to impact the economy.
