Rubio Says U.S. and Russia Have Exchanged New Ideas for Ukraine Peace Talks

9 hours ago U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. and Russia have exchanged new ideas for Ukraine peace talks after he met with his Russian counterpart in Malaysia on Thursday. He said he and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed a “new and different approach” Thursday. He did not elaborate. Rubio said President Donald Trump has been increasingly frustrated that "there’s not been more flexibility on the Russian side” to bring about an end to the conflict. He said there need to be a roadmap moving forward and that he and Lavrov shared some ideas on what that might be.
