San Diego, El Paso & Tucson Lead The Nation In Illegal Migrant Apprehensions

2 weeks ago El Paso, Texas and San Diego, California have the highest illegal migrant apprehensions – between ports of Entry- in the nation.
According to recently released data from CBP, more than 13,000 migrants crossed the border in the San Diego sector with more than 12,000 crossing in El Paso. Tuscon Arizona isn’t far behind with an additional 11,000.
Most of the migrants coming into the country are single men with only about 1% of those detained in the El Paso sector came with one or more family members.
This as a new set of migrant caravans numbering in the thousands, are heading to the United States, from Southern Mexico.
And according to the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) migrant traffic in a route from South America – The Daren Gap – has jumped a whopping 51% in September, an area that saw 500,000 migrants cross last year – and another half a million already crossing so far this year – according to WOLA.
