Several Members Of The Figure Skating Community Were On Plane That Crashed, US Figure Skating Says

A massive search operation is underway after the helicopter with three soldiers on board crashed into a plane carrying 64 people as it was landing at Reagan National Airport outside of Washington, DC.
The DC fire chief said about 300 emergency personnel responded are searching the freezing Potomac River, where the plane crashed.
According to a law enforcement source fatalities have been confirmed and rescuers have not yet pulled any survivors from the water.
The source says American Airlines Flight 5342 is in pieces in the water and the helicopter is in the water nearby.
The US Figure Skating organization said that several members of the figure skating community were on the passenger jet including two world-champion Russian figure skaters.
President Donald Trump has been briefed saying that it looks like it should have been prevented”. Trum saying on Truth social,
“The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane?”
