Sheriff’s Office Investigation After Migrants Try To Stop School Busses Filled With Children

7 weeks ago According to an email notice sent by Superintendent Liz Byste a group of migrants attempted to get on the busses along two of the district bus routes. In the first incident three men were walking in the middle of the highway and tried to stop one of the buses, instead the bus drove around the group.
In the second incident, about 20 migrants tried to get on the bus, while the driver was picking students up from a stop. Parents helped the bus driver out, making sure no migrants boarded the bus.
Drivers have been instructed not to stop if they see migrants, telling parents to follow the bus if their child was not dropped off.
The incidents were reported to Border Patrol, The California Highway Patrol and The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
