Texas buys 1,400 Acre Ranch In Move To Build Border Wall In Area

3 weeks ago The state of Texas has purchased a 1,400 acre ranch along the Rio Grande River to help deal with the massive influx of migrants that continue to come into the country.
The ranch is located in Starr County and was acquired by the Texas General Land Office in the Rio Grande Valley Sector of the border, where according to CBP data has some of the highest levels of illegal crossings. The plan is to build a border wall on the property.
Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star – which combat’s illegal trafficking and smuggling – has been busy installing triple strand razor wire and border barriers, so this will be the next step in securing the southern border.
Construction is expected to start immediately.
