Trump increasingly asks the Supreme Court for help
President Donald Trump's administration has increasingly turned to the use of emergency appeals to the Supreme Court – several just this week -- as it faces more than 130 lawsuits over his executive orders. Many of those legal challenges have been filed in liberal-leaning parts of the country as the court system becomes ground zero for pushback to Trump's agenda. Three times in the past week, and six since Trump took office a little more than two months ago, the Justice Department has asked the conservative-majority high court to step into cases much earlier than usual. Trump nominated three of the 9 Supreme Court justices. The administration wants the Supreme Court to send a message to federal judges to not overstep their authority … Like the one that wanted illegal immigrants suspected of being Venezuelan Gang members brought back to the US half way through their deportation flight out of the country… while the plane was already in the air.
The pope's doctor says Francis has shown ‘’a truly surprising improvement’’ since returning to the Vatican after surviving a life-threatening bout with double-pneumonia. The doctor said today, he found the pope “very lively''. That was three days after his release. The doctor thinks the Pope could see a 90 to 100 percent recovery.
