Trump To Investigate Chronic Health Problems, Childhood Diseases As Tribute To RFK Jr.

8 weeks ago Former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. joined Republican nominee Donald Trump on stage during a rally in Glendale, Arizona on Friday (August 23).

While on stage, Trump described Kennedy Jr. as a "very low-key person", but "highly respected" nonetheless.

The former president promised to set up a commission to investigate presidential assassination attempts, which he said would be tasked with releasing documents pertaining to the 1963 assassination of then-President John F. Kennedy, Kennedy Jr.'s uncle.

Trump also said he would install a panel to investigate "an increase in chronic health problems and childhood diseases" as a "tribute" to Kennedy Jr.

Kennedy Jr. abandoned his campaign earlier on Friday and endorsed Trump, ending a presidential bid that he began as a Democrat trading on one of the most famous names in American politics.

Strategists said it was unclear whether Kennedy's endorsement would help Trump, who is locked in a tight contest with Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
