Two Migrant Caravans Heading Towards U.S. Have Been Broken Up By Mexican Authorities

6 weeks ago Mexican immigration authorities have broken up a pair migrant caravans headed to the U.S. border. Activists say that some of the migrants were bused to cities in southern Mexico and others were offered transit papers. President Donald Trump has threatened to slap 25% tariffs on Mexican products unless the country does more to stem the flow of migrants to the U.S. border. Trump later confirmed that Mexico's president Claudia Sheinbaum had agreed to stop illegal migration across the border, with Sheinbaum saying the same day that “migrants and caravans will be taken care of before they reach the border.”
