United States Special Forces In Mexico Training Mexican Marines

A group of U.S. Army Green Berets is in Mexico training infantry Marines after Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum requested them and the Senate approved their entry into the country.
The 7th Special Forces Group will focus on training Mexican forces to curb the flow of fentanyl and firearms into the US.
President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs on Mexico if the country didn’t do more to stop illegal drugs and migrants from pouring across the border.
Trump has also declared Mexican drug cartels as terrorist groups.
