U.S. Is Sending More Troops To The Middle East As Violence Rises Between Israel And Hezbollah

3 weeks ago The U.S. is sending additional troops to the Middle East because of a spike in violence between Israel and the terrorist group of Hezbollah in Lebanon that has raised the risk of a greater regional war, according to the Pentagon
The Pentagon wouldn’t provide any details on how many additional forces or what they would be doing. As of now, the U.S. has about 40,000 troops in the region.
The new deployments come after strikes by Israeli forces against terror targets inside Lebanon that have killed hundreds and as Israel is getting ready for more operations. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warning Lebanese civilians to evacuate their homes ahead of their planned air campaign.
