U.S. Launches Fresh Strikes On Iran

The United States has launched a new wave of strikes against Iran, targeting coastal defense systems and missile sites after reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports.

The renewed attacks mark another escalation in the conflict, with the U.S. expanding its operations as it seeks to prevent Iranian ships from violating the blockade and threatening commercial traffic in the region.

Iranian officials responded by threatening to halt additional energy exports across the Middle East, describing the fighting with the United States as an “existential war.”

The escalation has renewed concerns about shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global oil and natural gas supplies, and further weakened hopes of reviving an interim agreement to end the war.
