Four Republican presidential hopefuls took the debate stage Wednesday night in Alabama, but the leader of the pack was missing once again. Trump skipped this debate, like he has with the previous debates. At one point, Chris Christie even compared Trump to the villain of "Harry Potter".
Those in attendance were trying to solidify their spot as the last candidate standing along with Trump when the Republican nominating contests begin next month.
Recent polling shows that Nikki Haley is now essentially tied with Ron DeSantis in Iowa and ahead of him in New Hampshire (the first two voting states of the primary).
