Man Serving 30 Years For Attacking Nancy Pelosi’s Husband Gets A Life Term On State Charges

1 week ago The man who was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for attacking the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with a hammer in their California home has been given a life term without the possibility of parole following a separate state trial. San Francisco Judge Harry Dorfman told defendant David DePape on Tuesday that he felt no sympathy toward him and that Paul Pelosi is lucky to be alive. A jury convicted DePape in June on state charges of aggravated kidnapping, first-degree burglary and false imprisonment of an elder. Before he was sentenced, DePape spoke at the hearing about various beliefs, including that Sept. 11 was an inside job and that his attorneys were conspiring against him.
