Russia Fires Hypersonic Missiles In Eastern Mediterranean

As tensions once again escalate in Syria, the Russian military launched hypersonic missiles during naval and air force drills in the Eastern Mediterranean on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
According to information received from Russian Ministry of Defense officials on Wednesday, December 4, more than 1,000 military personnel from the navy and the aerospace forces participated in the drills.
Russian authorities said that hypersonic missile launches were conducted during the drills, which involved warships, auxiliary ships, submarines, and MIG-24 fighter jets.
Officials stated that all the launches successfully hit their targets.
