U.S. Strike Kills 6 On Alleged Drug Boat In Pacific
8 hours ago
The U.S. military says six people were killed in a strike on an alleged drug-smuggling vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The operation is part of the Trump administration’s ongoing campaign against what it calls “narcoterrorists” at sea.
U.S. Southern Command said the strike targeted the vessel along a known smuggling route.
The military released video footage showing the small craft being destroyed, but did not provide evidence that the boat was carrying drugs.
The strike marks one of more than 40 U.S. operations against suspected maritime traffickers since September, raising questions about the scope and oversight of the campaign.
