Montreal police say three people are dead after a shooting Monday afternoon. Authorities say a police officer, a civilian and a suspect have died. A second police officer is reportedly critically injured.
The shooting occurred in the city's Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood.
Officials issued an emergency alert around 12:30 p.m., urging residents in the area to shelter indoors due to what they described as an "armed and dangerous suspect." The suspect was later located and neutralized.
